Pastors/Directors Breakfast

Img_9644_2Working at church can keep you busy. Contrary to popular belief, we don't just work on Sunday's! Now that would be a cush job! Something we've started doing this year is getting the staff together once a quarter just so we can hang out. It switches with pastors/directors and support staff and just pastors and directors. This morning I had all the pastors/directors over for breakfast. It was a busy morning starting at 5:30 to make my mom's famous cinnamon rolls. I haven't made them in years and now I remember why we would make them the night before! It was fun having everyone over to my new place. God has been so good in providing this beautiful townhouse and I'm excited to have folks over for a meal and I was glad that the first group over was the best team of folks a person could work with!

Last Man Standing on Dancing With The Stars

33996690I picked my final four for Dancing With The Stars after the first show. Only one of the people I chose made it to the final four. If you watch the show, you wil know the Helio and Julianne took the competition! This is Julianne's second win. Last year she danced her way to the top with Apolo Anton.

A Long Time Tradition

Img_9627_2Went and cut down the Christmas tree this weekend! I think my roomie and I bought too big of a tree. The tall ceiling in our new place kind of fooled us. We have a tall tree, but it's way to wide and takes up half the living room! :)

Squaw Valley Resort Christmas

Img_9559_2Img_9592_2Img_9622_2
Friday night I had the opportunity to go to Squaw Valley Resort to see the grand opening of their ginger bread village and see Santa. The ginger bread village was amazing and welcoming Santa and Mrs. Clause was really fun since I was with three little boys under the age of three. Hot cocoa and cookies were on hand too!

Things I'm Thankful For - Jr. Highers!

Img_9444_2Last night was our 4th annual Turkey Riot Nite! This Turkey nite has evolved through the years, but last night was pretty fun and funny. You gotta love Jr. Highers with all their life and energy! They bring me so much life as well! Last night they bowled with Turkeys, catapulted turkeys, carved spam, and tested their Thanksgiving knowledge! Way to much fun. To see all the pics from last night, click here.

Little Lamb Ministries

LittlelamblogoYesterday afternoon I was invited to attend the retirement party for Miss Marilyn at Little Lamb Preschool. It was such a sweet time together. Little Lamb is a ministry at Bridges Community Church that was started by my mom's best friend who was obedient to God's call. After 17 years directing Little Lamb Pre-school and day care, Miss Marilyn is retiring! I can remember Marilyn and my mom praying for this ministry long before it started. I can remember the plans, schooling, problem solving amazing God moments and all the folks who lent their time and talents because one woman followed God's call. It was amazing to see so many familiar faces and hear about the stories of how God touched the lives of many families because one woman was faithful to her savior. Knowing Marilyn, she wouldn't take any credit for this ministry that has been such an influence to so many families in Fremont, but credit is due to a faithful follower of Jesus! So Miss Marilyn, as you retire from Little Lamb, I pray for your future and what God has in store for you and Mr. B in the coming years. Thanks for your faithfulness!
