I'm looking to do some different things for our 5-8th grade students this summer. I really want to do something fun, cheap and outdoors. So I picked up The Dangerous Book for Boys and The Daring Book for Girls. Both these books brought me back to my childhood with learning how to make the best paper airplane, skipping rocks, building treehouses and more. If you have younger kids, these are awesome resouces to do with kids.
Such a tough day today! Just chillin in my courtyard, which I cleaned up yesterday, watching Season 5 of "24" and reading a new book by Chap Clark called "Disconnected: Parenting in a MySpace World." And yes Ben V, I do have cushions, I just don't leave them out!
I can't believe I slept so late this morning! Today the plan is to clean up my courtyard so it's ready for this massive book reading while I'm on sabbatical! Woo Hoo!
Right now I'm in the middle of reading "The Blogging Church" by Brain Baily. I'm new to this blogging thing but am having a lot of fun with it. This is a great book if you are interested in blogging especially if you are working in a church. It offers some good things to think about before you get started, as well as some good ideas for ministries to keep the church body updated on what's going on in a particular ministry. If you are new to blogging like I am, I would recommend the read.
