Soccer Sunday

Our Jr. High Ministry is on break for the next two weeks, so it was so fun to sleep in on a Sunday morning and not have to plan anything.  So this morning I did what many people on the Peninsula do: I went to Starbucks and then to Pacifica to watch a soccer game.  One of the girls in our Jr. High ministry plays on a CY team and it was the last game of their season.  So I'm glad I got to go.  It was a super exciting 1st half.  The 2nd half was tough one, but the girls played hard!  Fun morning!

This Lady Was Amazing

So I'm watching the bike portion of the triathlon and the lady in this picture took a really bad biff as you can see. She was amazing, road rash, blood and all she got back up dusted herself off, straightened her handlebars, got back on the bike and finished the race!

Boat Races Today

They are running the colligate crew races today over at Redwood Shores. Had fun hanging out over at the Peckhams to watch the starts and eat yummy muffins. Then I headed over to end of the races by Oracle. I've never been to an actual crew event before.

A Horrible Nite for the Spartans

Stanford kicked our booty tonight! No points on the board for us! So kuddos to the Cardinal and Anne-Marie, I owe you a coffee! Let's set a date!

Rich Kids vs. Poor Kids

As a SJSU Spartan Alum, this is a huge football game for us. It's against Stanford! The only game of the year I boooo Stanford is tomorrow! My friend Anne-Marie over at her Every Season Blog thinks The Tree is going to beat The Spartans! HA! I know, her hubbie is coach for Stanford and all and she is most likely right! But I will cheer loudly and since the game is in memory of the great Bill Walsh who also was an SJSU Alum, my Spartans might just win! So game on Anne-Marie! Should we have a little coffee bet?

Are Your Ready For Some Football?

I hardly got to watch any football last season! Not good! This weekend college football starts back up! I know my Spartans will never really go anywhere, but I'm a loyal Spartan especially when they play Stanford! You will find me near my TV this weekend watching a game or too! Woo Hoo!!

Race Day

Wow, the day is finally here and I can't believe what all these athletes do! Today was the sprint triathlon and the long course. The girls did awesome. Watching a triathlon isn't easy, but it sure was fun to see all kinds of people; young (8 years old) and old (79 years old), short and tall, super athlete and normal athletes. The gals I was cheering for all finished around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Not bad! Check out the pictures here!

Wild Flower Day 2

Today was awesome. I enjoy camping especially with people who know how to camp. Slept in had some awesome moring camping coffee and enjoyed a leisurely 6 mile hike down to the triatholon festival. Then we kicked back for the rest of the day waiting for the race to start on Saturday! I'm amazed at how many people run this race. There are almost 8,000 athletes at the Wildflower. The girls were anticipating the race all day.

Wild Flower Day 1

We packed the car to the gills with five girls and all their camping gear! We had a great drive to the lake. We got there shortly after dark. It took about 5 of us to put up my tent in the dark! :)
